My name is Danielle and I’ve got a story to tell that’ll warm your heart and ignite your creative spark! On a beautiful spring day in Lethbridge, with no shortage of wind, a talented crew of local businesses came together for a styled shoot like no other. When I tell you it was pure MAGIC, I'm not kidding!!
As a passionate wedding photographer, I’ve always believed in the magic of collaboration. So when the idea popped up to create a shoot that would showcase our skills and build a sense of community in Southern Alberta, I was all in. And WOW, what we created was beyond our wildest dreams.
This styled shoot was meant to encapsulate everything that the wedding industry typically isn’t. We wanted a dark and moody vibe, with speakeasy elements sprinkled throughout. (uhm DROOOOOL 🤤). All of the amazing vendors that we worked with totally understood the assignment!!
Southern Alberta Wedding Vendors
Our venue? The breathtaking Countryside Barn. This beautiful barn is nestled in the gorgeous Southern Alberta fields. The Countryside Barn features stunning string lights across the ceiling, a large mezzanine balcony, and plenty of room to transform the space into what you are dreaming of. I loved the moody aesthetic that these black drapes gave the room. Far different than your typical white wedding, but still absolutely stunning!
From the moment we arrived, you could feel the excitement in the air from the different vendors that we had the pleasure of collaborating with – an electric buzz of creativity and possibility.
Huge shoutout to Lethbridge Event Rentals, whose impeccable attention to detail transformed our space into exactly what we were dreaming of!
Let’s talk about the many other incredible Southern Alberta businesses that joined this adventure.
Sonic Bloom’s floral arrangements were a burst of color and whimsy that truly brought our vision to life. Bee and Kaley are always creating stunning floral pieces. We knew that this shoot would not have been the same without their help. They are excited to help make your flower dreams come true!
Of course, no wedding is complete without a touch of glamour! We had two wonderful humans helping us get our models all glammed up for the shoot.
Brooklynn from Hair by Brooklynn Marie and Sabrina from Spellbound Salon worked their magic, turning our models into stunning works of art. They did amazing on hair and makeup all while working at a great speed!
The perfect touch for our couple was jewelry from Olive Branch Jewelry. Their elegant pieces added the perfect sparkle. At Olive Branch Jewelry, you can find beautiful ring boxes to keep your rings and jewelry safe when you’re not wearing it. They have also started offering custom jewelry options. If you’re in the market you should definitely check them out.
Now, what’s a celebration without some delicious treats? Cakes by Gracie delivered a mouthwatering creation that had us drooling all day! Sonic Bloom came through again with this stunning flower moat for the stunning square cake.
Let’s not forget Kenzie May Co., whose handcrafted invitations, menus, and name tags added a personal, artistic touch to our styled shoot.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Courtney Atkinson rolled in with a vintage car that added a dash of old-world charm and elegance to our shoot. It was the perfect finishing touch!
But beyond the stunning visuals and Instagram-worthy moments, what truly made the day special was the sense of community and camaraderie. From vendors sharing tips to the laughter and support all around, it was a beautiful reminder that when we come together, we create magic.
So here’s to the dreamers and doers, the artists and entrepreneurs who made this styled shoot a spectacular success . This is just the beginning of a vibrant, supportive community here in Lethbridge, where creativity thrives and collaboration knows no limits.
